This Rota-Grad FSND Graduated ND Soft Edge Filter from Lindsey Optics fits into a 4 x 5.65" tray and has a geared thumbwheel allowing you to adjust the angle of the soft-grad edge. The geared thumbwheel allows you to use available lens motors to precisely adjust the angle in the shot. Meanwhile, the filter features a Rota-Lok which secures the filter's rotation, so it doesn't shift unexpectedly. Typically used to control exposure of the sky, this 1-stop filter darkens and controls exposure in bright areas of the frame while not affecting darker areas, such as the ground and when photographing landscapes.

The soft graduation transitions from a filter that is clear through half of its height, with no ND effect, and then at the midpoint of the filter the soft-edge ND effect begins, darkening to its full strength as it reaches the other edge. This provides a natural-looking transition that does not have a defined transition boundary. This is a Full Spectrum Neutral Density (FSND) filter, which cuts or attenuates the full spectrum of light, including visible, UV, and infrared, limiting the concern over IR pollution or UV haze effect on digital sensors. AR and easy-clean coatings help to protect your final image.
